Event details

The D0 collaboration has introduced new variables to accurately probe the low transverse momentum region of Z boson production at hadron colliders.I present a state-of-the-art analytical calculation of these new variables that contains the resummation of large logarithms up to next-to next-to leading logarithmic accuracy, matched to a full next-to leading order calculation. The theoretical result is performed accounting for the experimental cuts introduced by the D0 collaboration, so it can be immediately compared to data. The comparison to the experimental data gives important information on the size of non-perturbative effects. I also present predictions for the LHC.
