Event details

QCD scattering amplitudes in the high energy limit are described by the high energy factorisation (Regge) formula, which resums all the logarithmic enhancements up to next-to-leading logarithmic (NLL) accuracy, for the real part of the amplitude. However, starting at two loops, amplitudes have NNLL contributions too, which are not described by the Regge formula.

In this talk I'll describe how to exploit the factorisation of infrared divergences of scattering amplitudes to derive a remainder function which generalizes the Regge formula to the first NNLL at two loops. Consequences at higher orders are also discussed.

About Particle Physics Theory seminars

The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
