SU2P ICT Workshop

In Partnership with the Intelligent Lighting Centre and UP-VLC Li-Fi and Wi-Fi – A Discussion.

This workshop aims to discuss two communication technologies: “Visible Light” – Li-Fi; and “Wireless” – Wi-Fi, Cellular Mobile etc, and the opportunities and barriers to how they might be implemented in our future 5G communications landscape. We have brought together leading experts in both fields to present the state-of-the-art and to discuss these two technologies that will frame all our communications needs into the future.

The centerpiece of the workshop will be a Panel DISCUSSION chaired by the BBC’s Science Correspondent Ken Macdonald and involving experts from both RF Wireless and Light communications. The discussion will show the benefits/barriers of the technologies and how they will offer the pervasive unrestricted bandwidth that we will increasingly need in the future.

Places will be strictly limited so please register

More information on the workshop can be found by downloading the agenda .
