Institute for Particle and Nuclear Physics (IPNP)

The Institute for Particle and Nuclear Physics carries out research in nuclear physics and in theoretical and experimental particle physics. The institute comprises three research groups: Nuclear Physics, Particle Physics Experiment and Particle Physics Theory.

The Nuclear Physics group has a diverse range of research interests, from aiming to understand the origin of the chemical elements, to obtaining a deeper understanding of nuclear matter.

The Particle Physics Experiment group seeks an understanding of the fundamental particles of nature and the interactions governing their behaviour.

The Particle Physics Theory group is interested in fundamental physics at all energy scales.
