Event details

I will introduce some basic properties of boundary CFTs focusing on the 3-dimensional case with planar boundary. The emphasis will be given on the definition of energy-momentum tensor, its correlators and the associated anomalies. I will then move on to discuss the momentum space representation of these correlators and use it to determine the boundary Ricci scalar anomaly and its physical interpretation. In the remainder of the talk I will describe how to apply these methods using the method of images to compute the anomaly in explicit examples.

About Particle Physics Theory seminars

The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
