Taught postgraduate study

By undertaking this MSc programme, students will gain advanced experimental techniques, computational techniques, and theoretical understanding.  The programme aims to develop research and problem solving skills, preparing graduates for employment in research, science-based industry, medical physics and education.

These two programmes mark a new era in theoretical physics, which follows the discovery of a Higgs boson at CERN and the establishment of the Higgs Centre, providing training in applying theoretical physics to solve problems at the forefront of academic and industry research.

Higgs Scholarships, each of a value of £10,000, are available to students on one of the School of Physics and Astronomy MSc programmes.

This new MSc programme will provide students with an exciting foundation in the rapidly advancing interdisciplinary science of life in the universe.
