Dr Thomas Binoth, a Reader in Theoretical Particle Physics at the University, died in an avalanche on Sunday 3rd January 2010, while skiing near Bern, Switzerland. Prof. Richard Kenway will lead a ceremony to remember Thomas and a memorial bench will be installed.
