Translation into the clinical environment: a SUPA INSPIRE/Heath Science Scotland Meeting

  • Event time: All day
  • Event date: 19th June 2013
  • Location: Heriot-Watt University

Event details

How can academic research get the clinical input it needs to address societal challenges? How can industry access the NHS to develop its products for patient use? These are some of the questions that will be answered in an event hosted by the Scottish Universities Physics Alliance INSPIRE project in conjunction with Health Science Scotland.

The event will present case studies showing how academics and industry have successfully interacted with the NHS to further the R&D process, and will additionally feature speakers from a range of organisations that can assist with the translation into the clinical environment. The event is aimed at academics, industry and clinicians, and will provide an excellent opportunity for networking and information gathering.

Health Science Scotland will run a session for businesses in the afternoon looking at commercial interactions with the NHS, and giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions specific to their organisation.
