Abstract
The analysis of rare decays of heavy flavour mesons has the potential to cast light on some of the big unknowns about the Universe such as: which underlying theory is the Standard Model embedded in, what is the nature of dark matter, and what is the process that created the matter-antimatter asymmetry. From a small number of results obtained with data from the Large Hadron Collider in the LHCb, CMS and ATLAS experiments, I will review how they enhance our understanding.
Doors will be open at 12.45pm, directions will be posted from the foyer.
The Colloquium will be followed by coffee and biscuits from 2pm.
