Is there evidence for Fe and CHNOPS (bio)geochemical cycling on Mars?

General event

Is there evidence for Fe and CHNOPS (bio)geochemical cycling on Mars?

Event details

Abstract

We will review what we know about the occurrence of Fe and the CHNOPS elements in Mars on the basis of meteorite, orbital and lander observations. We will look for evidence of elemental cycling in their mineralogical and their redox state records. Possible future observations to better assess such cycling will be discussed.

UK Centre for Astrobiology seminar series

The astrobiology seminar series is run by the UK Centre for Astrobiology based in the School of Physics & Astronomy. Astrobiology is a multi-disciplinary subject and the seminar series actively encourages attendance by undergraduates, postgraduates and academic staff from other departments.
