Event details

The goal of this talk is to introduce, in an elementary way, multiple polylogarithms, to give a number of their basic properties and to explain how to arrive at their associated so-called "symbols" using combinatorial notions like trees and polygons. Time permitting, we will also try to give a glimpse of how it can been profitably used for number theorists.

About Particle Physics Theory seminars

The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
