Particle Physics Theory seminar

Muon g-2 on the lattice: The Challenge

  • Event time: 2:00pm
  • Event date: 13th November 2013
  • Speaker: Santi Peris (IFAE/UAB)
  • Location: Higgs Centre for Theoretical Physics

Event details

After introducing the current status of the experimental result and Standard Model calculation of the muon g-2, I will  describe the challenge faced by a complete lattice calculation, focusing on the hadronic contributions to the so-called vacuum polarization.
