Event details
Some recent papers by Zhang and others on the minority game will
be reviewed. The minority game is a simple model of competing agents in a
market. However, it also is deeply related to statistical mechanics: one
version of it can be solved using replicas etc., and exhibits a phase
transition.
The minority game has a web page (where you also can play it interactively over the web).
