Nonequilibrium Kinetics of the Triangular Antiferromagnetic Ising model

The triangular antiferromagnetic Ising(TAFI) model on a triangular lattice is a prime example of a periodically frustrated Ising model. TAFI has remarkable equilibrium properties originating from frustration caused by the
geometry of the underlying lattice and has an exponential number of ground state degeneracies, leading to nonzero
entropy per spin at zero temperature.
This macroscopic ground-state degeneracy crucially affects the nonequilibrium evolution process followed by a quench to zero (critical) temperature. During the last few years, I and co-authors have studied the nonequilibrium dynamics of TAFI via a dynamic Monte Carlo simulation method employing spin-flip kinetics. Today I will talk about our works - nonequilibrium kinetics of TAFI.
