Event details
In this talk I will give a basic introduction to matrix product stationary states of stochastic systems. In particular I will focus on a simple well known model called the totally asymmetric exclusion process (TASEP) which as well as being a simple model of traffic flow serves as a basis for modelling many biophysical processes such as RNA translation and molecular motor dynamics. I will show how a simple relation between matrices DE = D + E allows all stationary state correlation functions to be calculated.
