The physics potential of a SuperB factory

Experimental Particle Physics seminar

The physics potential of a SuperB factory

  • Event time: 1:00pm until 2:00pm
  • Event date: 16th November 2007
  • Speaker: Adrian Bevan (Queen Mary, University of London)
  • Location: Room 3317,

Event details

The physics motivation for a Super B Factory is to indirectly search for new manifest physics at TeV energy scales. Sensitivity to flavor couplings of new particles at these energy scales complements the physics programme of the direct search experiments at the LHC. Vast numbers of B and D meson, and tau leptons will be produced at such an experiment, that may help to unravel the mystery of the matter-antimatter asymmetry in our universe.
