It's not just about B's : ICHEP06 Results from BABAR

  • Event time: 2:00pm until 3:00pm
  • Event date: 23rd November 2006
  • Speaker: Katherine George (Queen Mary, University of London)
  • Location: Room 4309,

Event details

The BABAR experiment and PEP-II accelerator at SLAC have recently completed another data-taking run, bringing the total integrated luminosity recorded by the BABAR detector to nearly 400/fb. I will highlight BABAR results presented at the recent ICHEP'06 conference in Moscow, to which more than 100 papers from BABAR were submitted. Results covering the topics of CP violation, rare B decays and charmonium spectroscopy were submitted to this conference, providing precision constraints on the Standard Model and illustrating the wide spectrum of physics that can be investigated with the BABAR detector.
