Precision Measurements of the top mass at CDF
Experimental Particle Physics seminar
Precision Measurements of the top mass at CDF
- Event time: 2:00pm until 3:00pm
- Event date: 22nd February 2007
- Speaker: Un-Ki Yang (University of Manchester)
- Location: Room 5325, James Clerk Maxwell Building (JCMB) James Clerk Maxwell Building Peter Guthrie Tait Road Edinburgh EH9 3FD GB
Event details
Precise value of the top quark mass is an important input to precision
electroweak tests as a fundamental parameter of the Standard Model,
and provides a crucial guide for new physics. Precise measurements of
the top mass using top pair events from proton-antiproton collisions
at CDF will be presented. The precision we achieved is already
surpassed Run II goal. Various methods with complementary CDF
strategies will be discussed for three different top decay channels.
