WISE workshops showcase the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
The School of Physics & Astronomy will host the third annual University of Edinburgh WISE workshop, providing a day of networking with academics and researchers in science, mathematics, engineering, medicine and veterinary medicine at the University of Edinburgh.
This is an opportunity to listen to invited speakers discuss their work, the highs and lows of career progression as a female scientist and what it takes to be successful. Both women and men are encouraged to attend the workshop.
There will be opportunities for networking, meeting other people working in science, mathematics and engineering, and for developing ideas on how to improve equality both in science and within the University. The event will include a breakout session for discussion, a panel Q&A session focusing on the challenges of improving equality in science, technology, engineering and mathematics as well as talks by a selection of invited speakers.
The day will finish with a wine reception where you can discuss research with other participants.
