Event details

Dr Jess Wade will talk about 'Why we need to keep talking about diversity in physics'.  Joint seminar with the EU Women in STEM Society.

Jess Wade is a physicist who, alongside being a postdoctoral researcher at Imperial College London in plastic electronics, campaigns tirelessly to increase diversity in physics. One of Nature's '10 people who matter in Science' 2018, she made the resolution to make a Wikipedia page every day of 2018 to highlight the often underacknowledged work of women, LGBT+ and scientists of colour. In this talk she will address why talking about diversity in physics is still so essential and what we need to do about it.
