Event details
In recent years, there has been an increasing interest in low-mass hidden sector particles, especially as dark matter candidates which are an alternative or supplement to WIMP dark matter. In particular, there has been increasing focus on the micro-eV mass scale. The leading example is the ADMX experiment which is primarily an axion haloscope exploiting the axion-photon coupling, but there is a rich array of proposed experiments worldwide. In this talk I will look at some recent developments, and outline some of the possibilities for a UK initiative.
