Abstract  

The talk will cover a number of cases of scientific fraud and alleged fraud,  starting with the origins of mankind and working through to the current debate about ambient condition superconductivity. The cases will include what the science was, what the researchers might have hoped to achieve, how the work was disseminated, what the tell tale signs were and how they were resolved.
