Abstract

There and back again: The story of an itinerant career from physics to epidemiology and (at least in part) back to physics again.

The training physicists receive puts them in a unique place for understanding how things work. In this seminar I shall tell a story about how I used my training to do research in infectious disease epidemiology, and to argue as to why those skills are urgently needed to face the many challenges that we face today.
