Getting to Edinburgh

By Air

Edinburgh Airport (EDI) lies to the north-west of the city and is served by a large range of domestic and international carriers. A shuttle bus service and tram run between Edinburgh Airport and the City Centre, running 24 hours a day and at least every 10 minutes during the day.

By Rail

Edinburgh's principal railway station, Edinburgh Waverley (EDB), is well placed on the UK rail network and is conveniently located in the heart of the city. Edinburgh Waverley is served by a number of rail operators and there are often discounted fares available from many parts of the UK.

By Car

Edinburgh is easily reached by car from all parts of the UK. Much of the city is contained within the City Bypass, which provides a convenient way of reaching most parts of the city while avoiding the city centre.
