B_s Mixing at CDF
Experimental Particle Physics seminar
B_s Mixing at CDF
- Event time: 2:00pm until 3:00pm
- Event date: 26th October 2006
- Speaker: Sinéad Farrington (University of Liverpool)
- Location: Room 6324, James Clerk Maxwell Building (JCMB) James Clerk Maxwell Building Peter Guthrie Tait Road Edinburgh EH9 3FD GB
Event details
This year the CDF experiment at Fermilab's Tevatron accelerator has conclusively observed the phenomenon of mixing in the B_s system whereby the B_s meson oscillates between its matter and anti-matter state. I will present the methodology and results of this analysis and discuss its compatibility with the Standard Model predictions.
