In this talk I will decipher what is going on with the International Linear Collider Global Design Effort, and provide a guide for those wishing to become involved in its activities. Most of the material for this talk comes from the recent UK workshop: http://hepwww.rl.ac.uk/accel/forum/2006/forum.html
If there is time at the end, I will mention ideas for a Super B factory based on Linear Collider technologies.
