Event details
A Large Ion CERN Experiment (ALICE) assembly and installation is close to completion. The commissioning of the detector with cosmic data is in the full swing. The next step is the first data with LHC. The ALICE first physics goals - both in proton-proton and ion-ion collisions will be presented. The role of UK in ALICE programme will be explained.
