Prof Charles Burnett, one of the leading scholars working on the history of science and philosophy in the Islamic World, will in this special lecture explore what happens when a scientific or philosophical work is translated from one culture to another, specifically from pagan Greek to Islamic Arabic and from Islamic Arabic to Christian Latin.
