Event details
Construction of the LUX ZEPLIN (LZ) dark matter experiment, set to start taking data next year, is well underway at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) in South Dakota. Containing a total of 10 tonnes of liquid xenon, LZ will be the world’s largest dark matter detector and have unprecedented sensitivity to WIMP dark matter and other dark matter models. I will discuss the most recent developments and the expected performance of LZ.
