Event details
Along with the rest of the world computing practices have changed over the last 2 years. With hybrid teaching beginning again in 2021 I'll be taking some time to review some of the most significant changes which will impact teaching and research for PPE/HEP in the University of Edinburgh.
After years of predictable developments in both hardware and software the last few years have seen a sharp rise in new platforms and heterogeneous computing solutions. The impact of all of these is changing the computing landscape in High Energy Physics. As well as discussing some of the most important changes I will also be demonstrating some of the flexibility and features which are made available to us through these new technologies.
