Undertake fun physics and astronomy activities during Doors Open Day 2024.
Physics
Join in our fun hands-on activities and discover the work our physicists undertake. You will have the chance to help us build a giant LEGO model, explore strange worlds with our virtual-reality (VR) headsets, build a Mars rover and learn about dark matter detection.

Astronomy
A chance to discover the ‘out of this world’. Activities include speaking to astronomers and engineers, crafts, handling meteorites, telescope dome tours and hearing from start-up companies.
Date: Saturday 28 & Sunday 29 September 2024
Time: 10:00 – 17:00 (last entry 15.45)
Venue: Royal Observatory Edinburgh, Blackford Hill
