My Life As A Boson

Peter Higgs has given his talk 'My Life as a Boson' several times, most notably as the Oskar Klein Memorial Lecture in 2010 to the Stockholm Academy of Sciences where he received the Oskar Klein Medal for 2010.

Peter was invited by the newly appointed Clerk Maxwell Professor of Physics John Ellis, to give the introductory talk at the 'Higgs Event' a one-day meeting at King's College London held on 24 November 2010. Peter was unable to travel to the meeting, due to a recurrence of a medical problem, and was filmed in Edinburgh beforehand. The film was introduced at the meeting by his colleague Alan Walker, together with some personal reminiscences. Transcripts of the introduction and of Peter's talk along with the overhead slides used for the talk are available on this page.
