The School and University
The School of Physics and Astronomy
The Head of School is Professor James Dunlop. Most of the management of the postgraduate taught teaching is the responsibility of the Director of Teaching, Dr. Kristel Torokoff.
The School of Physics and Astronomy can be found across two sites - the James Clerk Maxwell Building (JCMB) at King's Buildings and the Royal Observatory, Edinburgh (ROE) on Blackford Hill. The Institute for Astronomy is based at the ROE.

JCMB and ROE Navigation
The main entrance to JCMB is on Level 2 (not Level 1).
When you first go 'up the hill' to visit the Institute for Astronomy at the Royal Observatory, you should call in at the Lodge by the main gate who will point you in the right direction to meet with academic staff.
