Your Student Adviser
Your Student Adviser (or SA for short) will either be based in the James Clerk Maxwell Building (JCMB) at King’s Buildings or the Institute of Astronomy at the Royal Observatory Edinburgh (ROE). Your Student Adviser will contact you prior to Welcome Week o arrange an online meeting before arrival: please check your UoE inbox and incoming email.
Your Academic SA will invite you to a follow up meeting in-person during Welcome Week.
Arranging a Meeting
Please arrange to meet with your SA online before Welcome Week, and in-person on-campus during Welcome Week.
At the Meeting
During the meeting with your SA, your SA will 'confirm your attendance' in EUCLID (part of the process of becoming a registered student). You can discuss any changes to your degree if applicable (entry year for example) and you must provide details of the optional courses you wish to choose. Your SA will then check these courses (for clashes and any pre requisites) and formally register you on them.
