Interview with Freeman Dyson

Year 3 student Austin Morris chats to physicist Freeman Dyson about his greatest scientific achievements, setbacks and extra-terrestrial life.

Influenced by Freeman Dyson’s recent autobiography which is based on hundreds of letters sent to his family, student Austin Morris began email correspondence with Freeman, asking questions posted by fellow year 3 students, as well as Alumnus Richard Henderson and Honorary Professor Michael Atiyah, Nobel Prize and Fields Medal recipients, respectively. 

Freeman is an English-born American theoretical physicist and mathematician known for his work in the area of electrodynamics. 

Austin Morris’s farther attended school with Freeman’s daughter, and has meet Freeman on a few occasions.
