Award for outstanding contributions to particle physics research

Congratulations to Dr Sally Shaw who has been awarded the Institute of Physics High Energy Particle Physics Group Prize.

The High Energy Particle Physics Group Prize is awarded to one early career researcher in either experimental or theoretical particle physics for outstanding contributions to particle physics research. The prize is decided by the High Energy Particle Physics Group within the Institute of Physics.

Dr Shaw has received this award for her scientific contributions to the direct search for dark matter, principally through her leadership of LUX-ZEPLIN (LZ) science delivery, and her wider contribution to the wellbeing of the High Energy Particle Physics community.

This award demonstrates the very high regard that Dr Shaw’s peers have for her contributions to the field.
