Memorial ceremony for Thomas Binoth

A ceremony on 19th May will remember Dr Binoth, a Reader at the University who died in January.

Dr Thomas Binoth, a Reader in Theoretical Particle Physics at the University, died in an avalanche on Sunday 3rd January 2010, while skiing near Bern, Switzerland.

Prof. Richard Kenway will lead a ceremony to remember Thomas on Wednesday, 19th May at 3pm. A memorial bench will be installed and, in the autumn, a sapling descended from the Isaac Newton apple tree will be planted nearby.

The ceremony will take place near to the north entrance of the James Clerk Maxwell Building on the Kings Buildings Campus where Thomas worked. All are welcome to attend.
