A variety of scholarships are available, which vary from full scholarships covering tuition fees and a stipend to cover living expenses, to partial scholarships.

Early Stage Researcher Posts
Early stage researcher posts are advertised as they occur. Early stage researcher posts are salaried, and offer PhD training, and are linked to a specific project/area of study and supervisor. Some opportunities may be restricted to UK/EU nationality only as specified by grant requirements. These will be advertised by the University’s HR department.
There are opportunities available for postgraduate research students to tutor and demonstrate physics undergraduate courses. This can be a welcome source of additional income (although will only cover a small part of your costs) as well as an opportunity to learn and practice teaching skills.
