Chancellor’s Fellowships in Data-Driven Innovation

Opportunities as part of the University's role in City Deal.

The closing date for applications for these positions has now passed.

To support the next generation of academic research and innovation leaders in data sciences and artificial intelligence, and drive the outcomes of the Edinburgh and South-East Scotland Region City Deal (City Deal) recently announced by the UK and Scottish Governments, the College of Science and Engineering proposes to appoint up to 10 new Chancellor’s Fellows in Data-Driven Innovation (as part of a cohort of 30 across the University).

The particular themes that are likely to be of interest to physicists and astronomers are:

  • Space and Satellite Analysis
  • Digital Technologies

The School invites applicants working in Physics and Astronomy to apply for these and, if successful, work within the School in collaboration with the new Centres established by the University and, in particular, the Higgs Centre for Innovation located at the Royal Observatory, Edinburgh.
