Event details
At least most experimentalist in the Condensed Matter group will be familiar with epi-fluorescence and confocal microscopy. These are already very powerful experimental techniques in itself but recent advances have pushed their limits even further. In this talk I will focus on super-resolution techniques used to break the optical diffraction limit and on label-free imaging, as some of these techniques are just starting to become available in house within COSMIC.
About Condensed Matter lunchtime seminars
This is a weekly series of informal talks given primarily by members of the institute of condensed matter and complex systems, but is also open to members of other groups and external visitors. The aim of the series is to promote discussion and learning of various topics at a level suitable to the broad background of the group. Everyone is welcome to attend..
