New methods in lattice hadron spectroscopy
Particle Physics Theory seminar
New methods in lattice hadron spectroscopy
- Event time: 2:00pm
- Event date: 19th October 2011
- Speaker: Mike Peardon (Trinity College, Dublin)
- Location: Lecture Theatre B, James Clerk Maxwell Building (JCMB) James Clerk Maxwell Building Peter Guthrie Tait Road Edinburgh EH9 3FD GB
Event details
A new scheme for efficient creation of hadrons in lattice Monte Carlo simulations will be presented. Results for the excited spectrum of light isovector and isoscalar mesons as well as charmonium states and excited baryon resonances will be discussed. The relevance of these results to the next generation of spectroscopy experiments will be outlined.
