  • Speaker: Carleton DeTar (University of Utah)
  • Location: Lecture Theatre C,

Event details

This talk is meant for nonspecialists with an interest in the properties of strongly interacting matter at extreme temperatures. I will introduce briefly the simulation methods, and then discuss contemporary issues, including recent results from the HotQCD collaboration.

About Particle Physics Theory seminars

The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
