Particle Physics Theory seminar
Minimal Walking Technicolor in the LHC era
- Event time: 2:00pm
- Event date: 23rd May 2012
- Speaker: Tuomas Hapola (CP3-Origins, University of Southern Denmark)
- Location: Lecture Theatre C, James Clerk Maxwell Building (JCMB) James Clerk Maxwell Building Peter Guthrie Tait Road Edinburgh EH9 3FD GB
Event details
I will start with an introduction to technicolor model building with emphasis on modern walking Technicolor models. After introducing the effective Lagrangian formalism within Minimal Walking Technicolor, I will discuss the most promising collider signatures. I will finish by giving an overview of the status of these models in the light of LHC data.
About Particle Physics Theory seminars
The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
