Fundamental Particle Physics and Cosmology with High Energy Gamma ray
Particle Physics Theory seminar
Fundamental Particle Physics and Cosmology with High Energy Gamma ray
- Event time: 2:00pm
- Event date: 25th January 2012
- Speaker: Malcolm Fairbairn (King's College London)
- Location: Lecture Theatre C, James Clerk Maxwell Building (JCMB) James Clerk Maxwell Building Peter Guthrie Tait Road Edinburgh EH9 3FD GB
Event details
I will describe how TeV gamma rays can be used to probe the nature of dark energy and the isotropy of the Universe and how ultra high energy gamma rays can constrain particle physics, in particular axion physics.
About Particle Physics Theory seminars
The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
