Event details

We review basic aspects of renormalization theory including physical and unphysical schemes with particular reference to those used in lattice methods. These include the regularization invariant and momentum subtraction schemes. Results are presented for the two loop extension of the original Celmaster and Gonsalves MOM scheme beta-functions and in particular for the triple gluon vertex. The renormalization of various operators relevant to deep inelastic scattering is also discussed.

About Particle Physics Theory seminars

The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
