Event details
I will discuss how the statistics of particle released in a two-dimensional incompressible periodic flow can be captured using the theory of large deviations. This leads to an eigenvalue problem that can be solved asymptotically in the small-Peclet-number regime in which advection dominates over diffusion.}, time={11:30am}, place={2511
