Calculating Higgs production at N3LO
- Event time: 2:00pm
- Event date: 16th December 2014
- Speaker: Falko Dulat (ETH, Zurich)
- Location: Higgs Centre Seminar Room, Room 4305, James Clerk Maxwell Building (JCMB) James Clerk Maxwell Building Peter Guthrie Tait Road Edinburgh EH9 3FD GB
Event details
The experimental progress in measuring the Higgs boson properties at the LHC requires a calculation of the theoretical prediction for Higgs production at a new level of precision. I report on our recent progress in computing the inclusive Higgs production cross section at N3LO in QCD as well as the theoretical tools required to perform the calculation.
About Particle Physics Theory seminars
The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
