Particle Physics Theory seminar

High multiplicity QCD at Next-to-leading order

  • Event time: 2:00pm
  • Event date: 5th February 2014
  • Speaker: Simon Badger (Formerly School of Physics & Astronomy, University of Edinburgh)
  • Location: Higgs Centre Seminar Room, Room 4305,

Event details

I will discuss recent developments of automated numerical techniques for the evaluation of multi-leg one-loop matrix elements using on-shell methods. I will then discuss applications to five jet production and di-photon plus three jets at the LHC computed using the C++ library NJET interfaced to the Sherpa Monte-Carlo.
