Event details
Abstract: I will discuss how the phenomenon of gluon reggeization and the BFKL description of high energy processes can be understood in a simple and reliable way using the eikonal approximation. This requires a version of the eikonal approximation which keeps track of multiple partons inside a projectile, in accordance to the so-called Balitsky-JIMWLK equation, which I will review assuming no prior exposition. I'll attempt to distinguish well-established results from extrapolations and conjectures, and present testable higher-loop (theoretical) predictions to help resolve potential subtleties at higher orders in the formalism. About Particle Physics Theory seminars
The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
