Event details
Processes involving narrow jets receive perturbative corrections enhanced by logarithms of the jet opening angle and the ratio of the energies inside and outside the jets. In my talk I’ll present a new effective field theory which fully separates the physics at the different energy scales relevant in such processes. This makes it for the first time possible to systematically resum the logarithmically enhanced corrections to jet cross section to all orders.
About Particle Physics Theory seminars
The Particle Physics Theory seminar is a weekly series of talks reflecting the diverse interests of the group. Topics include analytic and numerical calculations based on the Standard Model of elementary particle physics, theories exploring new physics, as well as more formal developments in gauge theories and gravity..
